Update!!! January 3rd 2011 The contest is officially over! Thank you everyone who participated and voted ^_^ Now we can say that we've done a 'four seasons' contest and I promise no more seasonal contests in this group for as long as I'm its founder XD (while those kind are the easiest, they are easily overused most of the time ~_~). Can you guys believe it's been a year since we started non-stop contests on this group and even with a couple in between? That said, we'll be taking a break for awhile from contests! But we'll be back with more again sometime later this year though :3

Autumn
Create fanwork involving SakuraxSyaoran with any theme for the season of Autumn/Fall.

Start Date: Thursday, September 23rd 2010
End Date: Tuesday, December 21st 2010 Wednesday, December 29th 2010
Voting: Thursday, December 30th 2010 - Sunday, January 2nd 2011
Winners Announced: Monday, January 3rd 2011

There will be no extensions! There is more than enough time for this contest.  But I will keep giving reminders~

It's important to note that you must be a member in order to participate! So if you are still just watching the club, please join by going to the home page and submitting a join request!

Ideas to think about:
Japanese holidays/festivals/activities. Maybe something that you may celebrate from your own culture/country. (this can include Halloween)
SxS enjoying the autumn weather
Autumn sports and activities
Autumn fashion, design SxS in unique or matching outfits [Think like Tomoyo-chan would ;3]
SxS on break/vacation or school related
and of course any ideas of your own =3



Rules:
Fanfiction, fanart, short fan comics/doujinshi (3 page limit), and cosplay entries are allowed.
It can be either SakuraxSyaoran pairing (Cardcaptor Sakura or Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle). You may feature the pairings together.  You may also feature other characters or pairings with them, but SxS must be the main focus
It must be something new you have created on or after September 23rd 2010, that meets the requirements for the theme of this contest.
Keep it PG-13 or below.
Members only[that includes contributors/admin too]. If you're currently a watcher of this group, and would like to enter, please be sure to join! Otherwise, you won't be able to submit it to the gallery.
Because of the length of the contest, all participants have the opportunity to enter 2 pieces.  That will give you the opportunity to do two fanarts, or two fanfiction entries, or one of each if you want. [It also gives you the chance to do something for both CCS and TRC, or stay with the same one ^^]

Submissions:
You can use any medium you want for the fanart; digital, traditional, etc. Anything too "sketchy" or messy will not be accepted. Take your time with it! ^_^ Also, make sure that the quality of the image itself is very presentable (no low quality scans, or taking pictures of it)
Fanart: Try your best to draw something original, and not just drawing a copy of an official image or manga panel from CLAMP. You may use CLAMP as a reference (character design, clothing that they wear). We want unique entries and remember that the more effort put into it, the better chances you'll have =3 You may use references from stock photography/photos around deviantART for drawing poses or objects and details. Textures/brushes can also be used. Just be sure to give the proper credit for any resources that you use! ^__^
fanfiction: One-shots only, with a limit of 3500 words. Be sure that your stories have proper grammar. If you need a proofreader before submitting, contact amethyst-rose, I won't mind doing that for you =3 (or if anyone else would like to volunteer to be a proofreader, let me know and I'll add you here too)
Cosplay: You must be a cosplayer in the image. Make sure that the image is good quality and presented nicely. You may also photoshop it to give it some nice graphic effects, etc.
You may submit your entry(or entries) anytime when they are completed. Please submit your entries to the folder, Autumn Contest. Each piece is final when you submit it.
Take the time to do research on a topic if you choose to do something that requires it! Not only will it make your entry more interesting, but you'll also learn something :3

Voting: To be announced. But there will be first, second and third place winners. If you have submitted 2 entries, only 1 of those entries can win. If somehow there's a tie between 2 pieces by one contestant, we'll find a way break it.

Prizes: To be announced.
1st Place:
- 1 month dA subscription from amethyst-rose
- 100 deviantART points from amethyst-rose
- 200 SxS Points
- Artwork featured on our home page until the next contest winner
- First choice from the prize pool

2nd Place:
- 80 deviantART points from amethyst-rose
- 180 SxS points
- Second choice from prize pool

3rd Place:
- 60 deviantART points from amethyst-rose
- 160 SxS points
- Third choice from prize pool

Prize pool:
a 12 x 15 full color fan-art or original character artwork, as well as a journal feature.

A fanart or original character request
colour fanart with limit of two characters (and maybe a background)
A chibi of Sakura, Syaoran or both - or any other character
A Full colour artwork with background of TRC Sakura and Syaoran

For this contest, we'd like to try and get everyone involved and help out their group. Since this place is pretty big, we want to extend the opportunity to allow members and watchers of the group to participate in giving out prizes of their own. It can be anything you want from donating a subscription, to a prize art or fiction, or even just featuring a winning piece in your journal. Whatever you wish to offer! By using the method of "prize pool", it also gives winners a chance to choose who they would enjoy receiving a prize from, and it also gives the chance to allow your skills to be appreciated ^^ If you're a contestant or you win, that's fine, just don't pick yourself as your prize artist ^_~ Prize artists receive 275 SxS points upon completion if they are chosen ^^

Just a quick note that since this is the last contest we're going to be having for awhile, we've added extra SxS points for it :3 Voting = 20 points, Submission = 90 points, Honorable mention = 75, 3rd place = 160, 2nd place = 180, 1st place = 200 and donating a completed prize art = 275
