Theme: Fairy Tales
Create fanwork of SyaoranxSakura depicting a fairy tale couple or theme

Start Date: Thursday, September 1st 2011
End Date: Sunday February 5th, 2012
Voting: Monday February 6th, 2012 - Sunday February 12th, 2012
Winners Announced: Monday February 13th, 2012


As long as the main focus is the CCS or TRC SxS pairing(s) then it can include other clamp characters
Fanfiction, fanart, short fan comics/doujinshi, cosplay, and hand crafted entries are allowed.
It must be something new you have created on or after September 1st 2011, that meets the requirements for the theme of this contest.
Members only [that includes admin]. If you're currently a watcher of this group, and would like to enter, please be sure to join! Otherwise, you won't be able to submit it to the gallery.
You can submit up to 2 entries
Some entries might be the same fairy tales, as many people's favorites are the same, which is okay as long each entry is unique in its own way (here's a list on Wikipedia if any ideas are needed)
This is not Disney cosplay. Yours must be your own designs and depictions of the fairy tale characters themselves. Using Disney scenes (example being the dancing scene from Beauty and the Beast) as a reference for poses or ideas is fine too as long as you make it your own unique designs for clothing, etc (Disney probably borrowed things from the original stories XD)
Include a short description in your artist comments on what fairy tale you chose.
You can make up your own original fairy tale as well. Just be sure to write a short description so that we know what it's about :3

Submitting:
Fanart: You can use any medium you want for the fanart; digital, traditional, etc. Anything too "sketchy" or messy will not be accepted. Take your time with it! ^_^ Also, make sure that the quality of the image itself is very presentable (no low quality scans, or taking webcam/phone pictures of it). Try your best to draw something original, and not just drawing a copy of an official image. We want unique entries and remember that the more effort put into it, the better chances you'll have =3 You may use references from stock photography/photos around deviantART for drawing poses or objects and details. Textures/brushes can also be used. Just be sure to give the proper credit for any resources that you use! ^__^
fanfiction: One-shots only, with a limit of 3500 words. Be sure that your stories have proper grammar. If you need a proofreader before submitting, contact *amethyst-rose or ~SakuraChanMOTC, we won't mind doing that for you =3 (or if anyone else would like to volunteer to be a proofreader, let me know and I'll add you here too)
Cosplay: You must be a cosplayer in the image. Make sure that the image is good quality and presented nicely. You may also photoshop it to give it some nice graphic effects, etc.
Fan comics/doujinshi: The limit is 3 pages which counts as one entry. So if it's more than one page, do not submit it until it's complete.
Handcrafts: Hand crafted items can be anything from little clay models to keychains to shoe art or custom made plushies, etc and based on using your own artwork (no official images). Pictures must be high quality images so that we and see your work and details clearly.
You may submit your entry(or entries) anytime when they are completed. Please submit your entries to the folder, SxS Fairy Tale Contest. Each piece is final when you submit it.
Take the time to do research on a topic if you choose to do something that requires it! Not only will it make your entry more interesting, but you'll also learn something :3

For this contest, we'd like to try and get everyone involved and help out their group. Since this place is pretty big, we want to extend the opportunity to allow members and watchers of the group to participate in giving out prizes of their own. It can be anything you want from donating a subscription, to a prize art or fiction, or even just featuring a winning piece in your journal. Whatever you wish to offer! By using the method of "prize pool", it also gives winners a chance to choose who they would enjoy getting a prize from, and it also gives the chance to allow your skills to be appreciated ^^ If you're a contestant or you win, that's fine, you can also offer prizes as well to one of the other winners =3 Prize artists receive 175 SxS points upon completion if they are chosen ^^

It was a circular tower, about a thousand square feet, and high enough to have a perfect view of the sea to the east and the mountains to the west.
The tower didn't have a ceiling, and instead of walls with windows, there were a few thin columns connected at the top with a circular aqueduct. There were climbing vines covering the columns, from which pu
